Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: The college division at W. W. Norton & Company is seeking an intern from May to August 2018 to assist with print and digital editorial projects in the Psychology department. The internship will offer insight into the editorial, marketing, and sales aspects of textbook publishing. Tasks will vary, but will include:
• assisting with preparation of manuscripts and electronic ancillary materials
• researching market data
• cataloging and organizing digital assets
• organizing book review programs
• reviewing manuscript proposals
• researching artwork and primary source texts
• formatting documents
• reviewing video animations and interactive labs
• and other day-to-day office duties.
Length of Internship: 3 months, 20 hours per week
Requirements: Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and organized, able to work independently in an office environment, and interested in learning about college textbook publishing. A background in psychology is encouraged but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential. Specific hours are flexible, but interns must be available to work 3-4 days for a total of 20 hours per week over a three-month period. College juniors, seniors, and recent graduates preferred.

Payment: $13/hour
